Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using FluteGym ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. You accept these Terms when you finish onboarding.
2. What FluteGym is
FluteGym is a practice companion for flute players: a library of exercises and graded syllabi, custom programs, practice sessions you log, a metronome and tuner, and an on-device recorder. In this version, everything you create is stored on your device; there is no account or cloud sync yet.
3. Who can use it
FluteGym is for flute players of all ages. There is no minimum age and we don't ask for a date of birth. If you are a minor, please use the app with a parent's or guardian's awareness. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a child's use, including the optional diagnostics setting (off by default).
4. Your content
Your recordings, practice logs, routines, profile name, and photo are yours. Because they're stored on your device, you control them — you can edit or delete them in the app, and uninstalling removes them. You're responsible for the content you create and for anything you choose to share from the app.
When you use a Share feature, you send your content to another app or service you select; that content is then handled under that service's terms, not ours.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to record people without the consent required where you are. Don't try to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app.
6. Third-party syllabi and links
The app references third-party graded syllabi (for example the Royal Conservatory of Music, ABRSM, and Trinity College London) as factual and bibliographic information, and may link to external websites. Those materials and sites belong to their owners; we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content. FluteGym is not affiliated with or endorsed by those organizations unless stated.
7. Diagnostics
The app includes optional, anonymous diagnostics (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) that are off by default. If you turn them on, you consent to the anonymous collection described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Practice guidance is for general educational purposes and is not professional musical or medical advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stornelli LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Because your data is stored locally, you are responsible for any backups you may want.
10. App store terms
Your download is also subject to the terms of the app store you use (Apple App Store or Google Play). If these Terms conflict with the store's terms for the download itself, the store's terms control for that part.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, the app will ask you to review and accept the new version. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
